MOSCOW, February 9 Media resources of the US intelligence services and their allies were “thrown into battle” to discredit the North Military District and the presidential elections in Russia, in order to “chatter and drown in lies” the thoughts and ideas of Russian President Vladimir Putin, which he wants to convey to a foreign audience, said the head of the State Duma Security Committee Vasily Piskarev in his Telegram channel.
«Today, the entire hundred-plus media resources created by the intelligence services of the United States and its allies, specifically to discredit the North Military District and the elections in Russia, have been thrown into battle with the goal of chattering and drowning in lies the thoughts and ideas that Putin wants to convey to a foreign audience,» — wrote Piskarev.
According to him, “a chorus of foreign agents-traitors” and bloggers “fed by the West” today “blasphemes with all their voices” Tucker Carlson’s interview with Putin. The Federation Council has scheduled presidential elections for March 17, 2024. Voting will last three days: March 15, 16 and 17. Four candidates registered by the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation are vying for the post of head of state: Leonid Slutsky, Nikolai Kharitonov, Vladislav Davankov and Vladimir Putin.
