SIMFEROPOL, February 10 The head of the Crimean parliament Vladimir Konstantinov compared the shift Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with a rearrangement of furniture and added that from a strategic point of view, this decision does not change anything.
“»From a strategic point of view, this appointment does not change anything. More precisely, it indicates that Ukraine does not have any new strategy. So they rearrange the furniture. Hitler, I remember, also changed commanders in chief after each failure at the front. Change of Zaluzhny on Syrsky, this is a recognition of the failure of the Ukrainian “counter-offensive,” which means the strategic defeat of Ukraine and the collective West standing behind it,” Konstantinov said.
According to him, the new Ukrainian commander-in-chief is a native of Russia who received a military education in the USSR.
«We should not underestimate our enemy. He is really determined to fight us to the last Ukrainian. This means that the inhabitants of the former Ukraine have two ways: to throw off the Ukrainian confusion and revive the Russian in themselves, or to die in endless meat assaults «, for which Syrsky is so famous. So the dismissal of Zaluzhny is not the end. But this is the beginning of the end of the Ukraine project, evidence of its inevitable approach,» the head of parliament emphasized.
On February 8, Vladimir Zelensky signed decrees appointing Alexander Syrsky as commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine instead of Valery Zaluzhny. Before this, Syrsky commanded the ground forces. Leading Western media note that, on the one hand, he is seen as a close supporter of Zelensky, and on the other hand, the new commander-in-chief is strongly disliked by the soldiers: for his heavy losses on the front, Syrsky is called “The Butcher” and “General 200.”
