YEKATERINBURG, February 11 A pack of stray dogs attacked a girl in Nizhny Tagil, Sverdlovsk region, the child was saved by a passerby who drove the animals away, reports the press service of the regional department of the Investigative Committee in Telegram channel.
“According to preliminary data, the incident occurred on the morning of February 10 near a house on Metallurgov Street. A woman came to the aid of the child and scattered the animals,” the message says.
It is noted that an inspection has been organized, possible eyewitnesses are being identified and interviewed, documentation on the work of officials in organizing the capture of stray animals will be studied .
Judging by the video distributed by the Nizhny Tagil Incident community, a pack of dogs attacked a child passing by. The girl tried to fight off the animals with her bag, but they threw her into the snow, she screamed and cried. A few seconds later, a woman comes running to help the girl.
As the administration of Nizhny Tagil clarified, an application for catching aggressive dogs in this territory has already been sent to specialized specialists. “In the near future (they) will identify a contractor company that will catch stray animals in the city, including from this flock,” the agency’s interlocutor said.
The head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, ordered to provide a report on the incident and initiate a criminal case, the investigation of which will be placed under control in the central office of the department.
