MOSCOW, February 10 If the presidential elections took place this Sunday, the majority of Russians would vote for Vladimir Putin, according to the results of a survey conducted by VTsIOM.
According to sociologists, the majority of Russians plan to participate in elections: 62 percent said they would definitely go to vote, 14 percent said they would rather take part than not, four percent said they most likely would not go to the polls, and seven percent — that they definitely won’t go. Another 12 percent are undecided.
Among those going to the polls, 75 percent said they would vote for Putin (if the elections were held next Sunday). In second place was the candidate from “New People” Vladislav Davankov — five percent of respondents are ready to vote for him. Third place was shared by Leonid Slutsky from the LDPR and Nikolai Kharitonov from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, who scored four percent each. Another two percent admitted that they would come and spoil the ballot. Eight percent of respondents found it difficult to answer.
The all-Russian survey was conducted on February 8 using telephone interviews among Russians over 18 years of age. The sample was 1.6 thousand people.
The Federation Council scheduled the presidential elections in Russia for March 17, 2024. Voting will last three days: March 15, 16 and 17.December 30, 2023, 11:25 InfographicsRussian presidential elections: stages of the election campaignView
