The “electric train” in its initial version received a 184-horsepower electric motor located on the front axle. Such a three-door can accelerate from zero to “hundreds” in 7.3 seconds.
The British Mini brand is owned by the Bavarian company BMW. She declassified the fifth-generation Mini Cooper hatchback in early September last year. So far, the model has versions with both an internal combustion engine and a completely “green” filling, but by 2030 the brand is going to completely switch to electric vehicles. Let us remind you that the petrol Mini Cooper was declassified a week ago, and now the company has presented the launch version of the electric three-door with the addition of E Classic to the name.

It is known that the price tag of the Mini Cooper E Classic in the UK starts at 30 thousand pounds sterling (equivalent to approximately 3.45 million rubles at the current exchange rate). However, customers are asked to pay extra for the additions offered to the starting version of the three-door. So, for the main yellow body color Sunny Side, buyers will have to pay plus 550 pounds sterling (about 63.2 thousand rubles) and the same amount will be asked for original wheels that differ from the standard ones.
It is worth noting that the E Classic version has a contrasting top trim and similar side mirror housings (you don’t need to pay extra for this). The hatchback has recognizable round LED headlights and an octagonal cap in place of the traditional radiator grille, designed in a corporate style. The range of wheel sizes varies from 16 to 18 inches.
The interior design of the Mini Cooper E Classic includes Vescin synthetic leather seats in gray or black color options with houndstooth perforations. At the same time, the surface of the front panel is covered with a two-tone knitted material in black and blue, and in the center is a 9.44-inch diagonal OLED touchscreen infotainment system.
The starting version of the Mini Cooper E is equipped with a single electric motor with a power of 184 hp, which is located on the front axle (maximum torque – 290 Nm). Note that these figures are 34 hp. and 40 Nm less compared to the current Cooper SE hatchback. This three-door car needs 7.3 seconds to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h.

The model received one version of the traction battery, its capacity is 40.7 kWh (for the Cooper SE version — 54, 2 kWh). The range of the hatchback without recharging is 305 km (when calculated using the WLTP cycle). From a 75 kW DC outlet, charging from 10 to 80% takes the Mini Cooper E 28 minutes. Consumption is 14.3 – 13.8 kWh per 100 km.
We would like to remind you that at the end of last year the model family was expanded with the addition of a “warmed up” version of the three-door hatchback Mini Cooper SE John Cooper Works. The changes affected only the exterior and interior of the model, but the technology was standard.
