BELGOROD, February 15 One of those killed as a result of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ attack on Belgorod turned out to be an employee of the Belgorod State National Research University (BelSU) Lyubov Gubkina, who worked at the university for more than 23 years, the university’s press service reported on the Telegram channel.
“As a result of today’s missile attack, Lyubov Alekseevna Gubkina, an employee of BelSU, a specialist and teacher at the Institute of Engineering and Digital Technologies, was killed. The entire team deeply mourns and condoles with the family and friends of Lyubov Alekseevna, who has three children left,” the university said in a statement.
It is noted that her two children are connected to the university, the eldest son is a graduate student, and her daughter is studying at the engineering college of the BelSU National Research University. As the press service clarified, the woman worked at the university for more than 23 years, “she was a bright, friendly, sociable and kind person.”
“»On instructions from the head of the university, the family of the deceased is provided with all necessary assistance,» the university added.
According to the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, as a result of shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Belgorod, six people were killed, including one child, and another 17 were injured, including four children. As the correspondent reports, the shopping center on Plekhanov Street, which houses the Magnit grocery store and pharmacy, was severely damaged, in the school building No. 42 on 60 Let Oktyabrya Street, glass was broken, and the stadium infrastructure was damaged.
