MOSCOW, February 17 New specialties began to appear in Russia in connection with the development of neural networks, for example, artificial intelligence trainer, research developer, prompt engineer, they said in large IT companies.

We closely monitor the market and, if necessary, expand the team for new projects. Thus, ChatGPT and active work with LLM contributed to the emergence of such positions such as developer-researcher, prompt engineer, AI trainer,” said HR Business partner MTS AI Marina Kvasova.
Yandex emphasized that since April 2023, the company was the first in Russia to begin recruiting artificial intelligence trainers (AI trainers). Such specialists train the language model to answer the user’s request correctly, correctly, safely and as succinctly as possible. At the same time, anyone can become an artificial intelligence trainer, including those who have not previously worked professionally with texts. The main thing for a specialist in this field is the ability to express his thoughts clearly, competently and intelligibly.

Sitronics group also noted that the intensive development of artificial intelligence technology has led to the emergence of such a profession as a prompt engineer.
“These are specialists who are developing the most current way of interaction between a computer and a neural network — not through the command line, but through a voice interface. Moreover, such a specialist must know all the main programming languages and mathematics. An important skill of such a specialist is the ability to clearly formulate a problem, a request during training neural networks and see the solution options that the neural network should provide,” said Margarita Loshchinkina, vice president for personnel management and organizational development of Sitronics Group.
MTS AI explained that a prompt engineer manages AI systems, develops and tunes large language models, ensuring that the system generates relevant and accurate results.
Development of professions in the future
MTS AI also noted that the development of artificial intelligence will continue to create the preconditions for the emergence of new professions. Among them are specialists in the legal regulation of AI, compliance in the field of neural network training data and their use.
The active development of technology will continue to transform and create new professions, Yandex also believes. In the future, doctors, engineers, and lawyers may appear among artificial intelligence trainers. “And when a specialist reaches a high qualification, he will teach neural networks what he can do. First of all, this will affect people who solve the most complex and atypical problems in their fields,” Yandex concluded.
