
CHELYABINSK, February 16 Russian President Vladimir Putin asked to think about additional capitalization of the Industrial Development Fund, whose preferential loans are in demand by business and needed by Russian companies.
«»These loans are in demand, they are needed by our companies. Therefore, I ask you to think about additional capitalization of the Industrial Development Fund. I understand that these are always difficult questions, especially when all the key parameters of the budget have been agreed upon and launched. But we definitely need to think about this too. I hope that they will and we have additional income,” Putin said at a meeting on supporting investment projects in Russian industry.
He added that the fund has been working steadily for several years, in general this is a good practice, the fund’s preferential loans are in demand by enterprises and businesses. According to him, more than 1.5 thousand projects have already been financed with the help of the fund, totaling about 500 billion rubles.
“»Decent money. True, business representatives say that this is also not enough. They are ready to make wider use of this tool and expand their production,» Putin said.
The President promised that the authorities will continue to expand and fine-tune mechanisms to support industry.
The Industrial Development Fund was established by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation in 2014 on Putin’s initiative. The main objective of the fund is the development of industrial production by providing affordable concessional loans for small, medium and large manufacturing enterprises.
