The politician expressed confidence that the US justice system is under attack by biased and corrupt prosecutors and judges “obsessed with the idea of getting to Trump.”
«I helped New York in its worst times, and now that, due to the fault of (current US President — ed.) Joe Biden, it is overflowing with immigration crime, the radicals are doing everything possible to drive me away,» — wrote the former head of state.
According to the New York court decision, Trump must pay approximately $355 million. In addition, the politician will be prohibited from serving as an officer or director of any corporation in New York State for three years.
New York State Attorney General Letitia James previously said Trump inflated the value of his assets over a ten-year period by between $812 million and $2.2 billion. She believes Trump resorted to similar fraud to obtain loans to build a golf resort in Miami, a hotel in Washington and a hotel in Chicago.
In 2022, James filed a $250 million lawsuit against Trump, his children and related companies on suspicion of fraud and misrepresentation. The attorney general also demanded that the court prohibit Trump and his children from heading companies or corporations in New York and applying for loans to financial institutions in the state for five years.
