KHABAROVSK, February 18 A turboprop aircraft L-410, en route from Nikolaevsk-on-Amur to Khabarovsk, made an emergency landing in Komsomolsk-on-Amur due to abnormal engine operation, reports the representative of the Federal Air Transport Agency Artyom Korenyako in the Telegram channel.
Earlier, the Far Eastern Transport Prosecutor's Office reported that on Sunday afternoon the L-410 aircraft (operated by Khabarovsk Airlines JSC) made an emergency landing at the Komsomolsk-on-Amur airport (Dzemgi airfield) for technical reasons. The supervisory agency has organized an inspection of the implementation of flight safety legislation. It was reported on social networks that the plane was forced to land due to icing.
“On Sunday, February 18, at 06.32 (Moscow time), the commander of the L-410UVP-E20 aircraft of the Khabarovsk Airlines carrier — previously due to abnormal operation of the aircraft engine — decided to make an unscheduled landing in Komsomolsk-on-Amur. The aircraft made a safe landing at 14.36 (07.36 Moscow time),” wrote Korenyako.
There were no passengers on board the L-410: only the commander and co-pilot were flying. They were not injured.
«The aviation event has been classified as an incident. It will be investigated by the commission of the Far Eastern Interregional Territorial Administration (MTU) of the FAVT,» noted a representative of the Federal Air Transport Agency.
The Eastern Interregional Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia reported that the Komsomolsk-on-Amur transport investigation department is conducting a pre-investigation check under Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of traffic safety rules and operation of air transport).
