The Babushkinsky District Court of Moscow sentenced three members of the StopHam movement to six years in a general regime colony — Kirill Bunin, Kirill Kotov and Alexei Gorbachevsky. The announcement of the verdict was broadcast on the YouTube channel “Novichok.”
A criminal case was opened against them due to a fight with special forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in June 2022 during the “StopHama” raid against illegal parking. Activists had complaints about the car, in which, as it turned out, soldiers of the special forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs “Grom” were sitting, and they demanded that it be rearranged.
Then the security forces threw all three to the ground and beat them. One of them, Gorbachevsky, was hospitalized with an abdominal injury after the fight. As a result, all three were sent to a pre-trial detention center under two articles — group hooliganism and the use of violence against government officials (Part 2 of Article 213, Part 1 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code).
Activists of StopKham, created in 2010 as one of the programs of the pro-Kremlin Nashi movement, they opposed violations of traffic rules. They put “I park where I want” stickers on their cars, argued with dissatisfied drivers, and filmed their protests. In 2018, they were liquidated through the courts at the request of the Ministry of Justice.
