DONETSK, February 20 Administrative buildings were damaged as a result of shelling by Ukrainian forces in the Kiev district of Donetsk, the mayor of the city Alexey Kulemzin reported on the Telegram channel.
«According to preliminary data, as a result of barbaric shelling by the Ukronazis of the Kyiv region, administrative buildings were damaged at the intersection of Panfilov Avenue and Universitetskaya Street. Information about the victims is being clarified,» Kulemzin wrote.
Earlier, the DPR Ministry of Information reported that four people were initially injured during shelling of the specified area.
The Kiev district of Donetsk is located in the northern part of the city. Since 2014, when the DPR declared independence from Kyiv after a coup d'etat there, the area has regularly come under fire from Ukrainian security forces. The northern outskirts of the area is considered to be an airport, completely destroyed as a result of months of fighting between the Ukrainian military besieged there and the Donetsk militias who stormed their positions.
