Barton moved to CSKA on January 29, the agreement with the 33-year-old player was calculated until the end of the season. The defender did not play a single match for the team.

Barton played 679 games (286 starts) in the regular season of the National Basketball Association (NBA), averaging 11.2 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.7 assists.
