ST. PETERSBURG/MOSCOW, February 21. All offices of Qiwi Bank are currently closed, according to a message from the call center operator.
As indicated on the bank’s website, its offices are located in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Kazan.
The bank's office in St. Petersburg is now closed, there are no bank clients at the office, a copy of the order of the Central Bank of Russia to revoke the license for banking operations from Qiwi Bank hangs on the door, the correspondent reports. The central office of Qiwi Bank, located in Moscow, is also not conducting any operations, as another agency correspondent was convinced earlier.
“The offices are temporarily not working,” the operator said. He also noted that there is no information about the restoration of the offices.
The Bank of Russia revoked the license for banking operations from Qiwi Bank earlier on Wednesday.
According to the regulator, the bank systematically violated the “anti-money laundering” «legislation, was involved in settlements with shadow businesses, including crypto exchangers and illegal online casinos, opened Qiwi wallets using personal data of individuals without their knowledge and carried out operations on them.
The regulator also reported that it had sent it to law enforcement agencies information about bank operations that have signs of criminal offenses.
