MOSCOW, February 21 State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin drew attention to the fact that the ministers of the Russian government are not open enough for dialogue with deputies; in particular, he pointed out the closed nature of the Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov.
At the plenary session on Wednesday, a number of deputies reported difficulties with making an appointment with Falkov.
“When it comes to deputies of the State Duma, it would be right for ministers to respond. Ministers have no other communications with citizens, only through deputies,” said Volodin, whose words are quoted on the State Duma website.
According to him, Falkov “can break all records as the most inaccessible, closed minister.” The Speaker of the State Duma also proposed to raise this issue during the upcoming government report, which will take place in April. He asked the government's plenipotentiary representative in the Duma, Alexander Sinenko, to convey these words.
“Or we will ask the Prime Minister to influence and make the minister open and available for dialogue,” Volodin said.
