CSKA and Real Madrid expressed condolences over the death of Arthur Jorge

MOSCOW, February 22 Moscow football club CSKA in its Telegram -channel expressed condolences over the death of the Portuguese team's former head coach Arthur Jorge.
Jorge headed CSKA from 2003 to 2004. Under his leadership, the army team won the Russian Super Cup for the first time in history. On Thursday, the Portuguese publication Record, citing a statement from the coach's family, reported that Jorge died at the age of 78 after a long illness.
“Today, at the age of 78, former head coach of PFC CSKA Artur Jorge passed away. We express our sincere condolences to all the coach’s family and friends,” the army team said in a statement.
The Russian Premier League (RPL) and Real Madrid also joined in the condolences.

Jorge also worked as a coach in the Portuguese national team, the clubs Porto, Benfica and Paris Saint-Germain. He became the first Portuguese coach to win the European Cup — in the 1986/87 season with Porto.
