The author of the telegram channel “Simbirsk Shugozhor” Vitaly Akhmerov said that he was summoned to the police department in Ulyanovsk to draw up a report because of a post about an attempt by local activists to hold a picket in memory of Alexei Navalny.
On February 25, they are going to draw up a protocol against Akhmerov on the dissemination of information about a public association that is recognized as “extremist” (Part 2 of Article 13.15 of the Administrative Code). This article implies a fine of 2 to 2.5 thousand rubles.
“The best gift for my anniversary, as expected, I received from my native police. They found me in a village 130 km from Ulyanovsk (this definitely had to be done on my birthday) to hand over a letter about the need to appear at the police department to draw up an administrative protocol <…> for posts dated February 19th. Most likely, we are talking about messages about notifications to hold a picket on February 24 and the subsequent refusal to hold this picket,” Akhmerov wrote.
“The norm specified in the letter punishes the dissemination of information about extremist organizations. I didn't write anything about them. Only Navalny was mentioned; Navalny was not recognized by the court as an extremist, and I did not mention his organizations recognized as such. I think any judge will be on my side,” added the author of the telegram channel.
On February 19, “Simbirsk Shugozhor” published a post that the Ulyanovsk administration did not allow a group of activists to hold a picket in memory of Navalny in the Ekran park » The authorities referred to the fact that on February 24 there will be an event in support of the Russian army and Vladimir Putin and a collection of signatures for the all-Russian action “Gorbachev to trial. A million plaintiffs.» Local residents were offered to hold the action in another place.
