MINSK, 24 Feb. Secretary General of the Shanghai Organization Cooperation Zhang Ming will take part in monitoring the Russian presidential elections, SCO Deputy Secretary General Nurlan Yermekbaev confirmed.
The participation of the SCO Secretary General in monitoring the Russian presidential elections was mentioned by CIS Secretary General Sergei Lebedev at a meeting with Ermekbayev in Minsk dedicated to the parliamentary elections in Belarus.
«As far as I know, the SCO Secretary General plans to take part in monitoring the elections in the Russian Federation. He will head a mission there,» Lebedev said.
“Yes,” confirmed Ermekbayev.
Later in the meeting, he also emphasized this, noting that Zhang Ming was preparing to observe the Russian presidential election.
