On the second anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Australia added 55 people and 37 organizations to its sanctions list. This was reported by the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The restrictions included singers Oleg Gazmanov, Nikolai Baskov and Philip Kirkorov, media manager Tina Kandelaki, head of VGTRK Oleg Dobrodeev, TV presenters Alexey Pimanov and Artem Sheinin, as well as the speaker of the Ministry of Defense Igor Konashenkov and the founder of the Night Wolves Alexander ( Surgeon) Zaldostanov.
In addition, sanctions were imposed against the governors of the Primorsky Territory Oleg Kozhemyako, the Kamchatka Territory Vladimir Solodov, KHMAO Natalia Komarova, as well as senators Lyudmila Narusova, Victor Kress, Daria Lantratova and others.
The updated sanctions list also includes Yunarmiya, Belarusian Red Cross, PMC Patriot and PMC Redut.
The day before, on February 23, the European Union, the USA and Canada introduced new sanctions against Russia.
