In Moscow, at the age of 81, the Chairman of the Supreme Court Vyacheslav Lebedev died. Kommersant was informed about this by the press service of the court.
The publication's interlocutors added that Lebedev suffered from cancer. According to the 112 telegram channel, he was in the hospital in recent days.
Vyacheslav Lebedev headed the Supreme Court of Russia since December 1991; in 1989 he became Chairman of the Supreme Court of the RSFSR. In the 70-80s, Lebedev worked in several district courts of Moscow. In the mid-80s, he participated in convictions under articles of “anti-Soviet” activity.
