
KRASNODAR, February 25 A moonshine still exploded in a multi-storey building in Krasnodar, the owner of the apartment ended up in intensive care, the regional capital's Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
“Krasnodar police officers established that in the apartment of a 39-year-old local resident there was a moonshine still, which for unknown reasons exploded. Windows were damaged both in this apartment and in neighboring ones,” the report says.
It is noted that the man was taken to the intensive care unit in serious condition. There were also a wife and two children in the apartment; they were not injured. The police are checking.
According to the municipal control center (MCC) of Krasnodar, the cotton explosion occurred on Sunday morning in an apartment on the fifth floor of a building on Krasnykh Partizan Street 1/4, building 10. There was no open burning or destruction. Residents were also not evacuated. The injured man was taken to Regional Clinical Hospital No. 1. At the same time, authorities previously reported that the bang could have occurred as a result of the operation of a portable gas cylinder.
