MOSCOW, February 24 Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev called the West an enemy and called for “revenge on them wherever possible.”
“We all just need to remember this and take revenge on them (the West — ed.) wherever possible. They are our enemies. Create possible difficulties for them in economy, arouse public dissatisfaction with the incompetent policies of Western authorities, develop and promote international solutions that infringe on the interests of the Western world. Do this constantly, systematically and as openly as possible,» Medvedev wrote in his Telegram channel.
He also clarified, that it is necessary to carry out “other activities about which it is not customary to talk publicly” on the territory of the West.”
“We are accustomed to their endless restrictions and have learned to live with them. But what I want to draw attention to today: these prohibitions are no longer directed against the authorities or business in the country, as our enemy likes to talk about. They were taken against the entire population of Russia. For example, the ban on the Mir payment system and restrictions on the activities of companies engaged in housing construction in the country,” Medvedev added.
He emphasized that their “reason” is clear — the worse it is for Russian citizens, the better it is for the Western world.
“In war as in war,” Medvedev concluded. “And in this war, victory will be ours!” he noted.
The Russian Federation has repeatedly stated that the country will cope with the sanctions pressure that the West has begun to exert on Russia several years ago and continues to strengthen. In Moscow it was noted that the West lacks the courage to admit the failure of sanctions against the Russian Federation. In Western countries themselves, opinions have been voiced more than once that anti-Russian sanctions are ineffective. Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that the policy of containing and weakening Russia «is the West's long-term strategy, and sanctions have dealt a serious blow to the entire global economy. According to him, the West's main goal is to worsen the lives of millions of people.
