PERM, February 28 The court imposed a fine of 1 thousand rubles on a Perm resident for an LGBT* flag in the window of her house, the Industrial District Court reported.
From the decision in the electronic court file it follows that the girl placed an LGBT* flag in the window opening of the house. The Perm court qualified her actions under Part 1 of Article 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation — public display of symbols of extremist organizations, the propaganda or public display of which is prohibited by federal laws. The girl herself stated that she did not have any extremist beliefs and did not intend to break the law.
«The girl was given an administrative fine in the amount of one thousand rubles,» the court reported.
The court considered the defendant’s admission of guilt and the presence of chronic diseases to be mitigating circumstances.
The resolution also states that the Permian woman must pay the amount within 60 days. The LGBT flag will be confiscated and destroyed. The court decision has not entered into force and can be appealed until the beginning of March.
