MOSCOW, February 28 The main Russian manufacturer of multiple launch rocket systems, NPO Splav, has increased the production of shells across the entire range of products fourfold, and for some positions seven times, the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense reported on Wednesday following an inspection by the head of the military department, Sergei Shoigu, of the implementation of state defense orders at Tula enterprises.
«The head of the Russian military department inspected the production of modern weapons of destruction at the Research and Production Association «Alloy named after Ganichev.» Army General Sergei Shoigu was presented with the new production workshops of the plant, which were put into operation in 2023, which made it possible to increase the production volume of shells across the entire range of products by 4 times, and for some items by 7 times,” the message says.
As the head of «Splav» Rinat Idrisov reported, in accordance with the instructions of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, the enterprise is actively carrying out technical re-equipment, carrying out large-scale construction and reconstruction of production facilities — only since the beginning of 2024, the plant has installed more than 90 new machines and necessary equipment.
