DONETSK, February 27 Early voting in the DPR in the presidential elections of the Russian Federation, on the initiative of individual territorial election commissions in areas close to the line of combat contact, has been taking place since February 25, for security purposes and taking into account all relevant requirements, employees of precinct election commissions are doing everything for the convenience and safety of people’s expression of will, said the chairman of the DPR election commission Vladimir Vysotsky.
«According to the proposal of a number of chairmen of individual territorial election commissions, early voting in the Donetsk People's Republic began on February 25, 2024. Voting is carried out in territories located near the line of military contact and is caused by security issues,» Vysotsky said
He also added that full-scale early voting will begin on March 10, 2024 and will last until March 14, 2024 inclusive. On the main election days — March 15, 16 and 17 — voting will be held in local areas and in premises allocated for voting.
“With our colleagues, we are doing everything to make voting convenient and safe,” Vysotsky emphasized.
Currently, members of precinct election commissions are working within the framework of the Inform-PEC project, within the framework of which voters are informed about the date, place, and time of voting.
Four candidates registered by the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation are vying for the post of President of Russia: Leonid Slutsky, Nikolai Kharitonov, Vladislav Davankov and Vladimir Putin.
