MOSCOW, February 27 Foreign agents have a chance get rid of this status if they refuse handouts from other countries, said State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin.
“We need to explain here that anyone who wants to improve has a chance: they can return from the status of a foreign agent,” — he said at the plenary session.
To do this, persons recognized as foreign agents need to reject handouts and the stranglehold that they have thrown on themselves for the money of other countries, Volodin added.
Last week, during a discussion in the State Duma of the idea of prohibiting foreign agents from using social networks, deputy Andrei Alshevskikh clarified that the status of a foreign agent is not a “stigma for life”; when violations are eliminated, it is removed.
