The German tabloid Bild published a theoretical scenario for a Russian attack on NATO
The German publication Bild published a possible scenario for a Russian attack on NATO, as experts in Germany imagine. The publication claims that this is a government document that was presented to parliament.
The document's authors define a Russian «attack» on NATO as an event in which there will be a «fundamental change in the security situation for all of Europe.» Experts have identified four phases of these alleged processes.
In the first phase, a massive campaign of disinformation will begin, the purpose of which will be to divide and destabilize society in Western countries and undermine people's trust in liberal democracy. At the same time, cyber attacks on critical infrastructure facilities are also expected.
During the second phase, Russia, according to the authors of the document, will begin to carry out large military maneuvers on the borders of the alliance. The Allies will have to deploy their own troops, which will lead to the appearance of the first refugees. And the movements of NATO troops will be disrupted by espionage, acts of sabotage, cyberattacks and attacks.
The third phase, as stated in the document, will be marked by the massive disabling of Western satellites and targeted strikes on NATO countries, in particular Germany.
During the fourth phase, Russian troops break through to Germany, and battles take place on land, at sea, in the air and even in space. Experts fear the use of biological, chemical and tactical nuclear weapons during this conflict, as well as the implementation of a nuclear electromagnetic pulse at an altitude of 50 km above the ground, which will disable all electronic devices.
This is not the first such plan, which is published by the tabloid Bild with reference to some “secret documents”. In Russia they urged not to pay attention to these publications, which are not based on any reliable serious information.
