Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of Ukraine Kirill Budanov (included by Rosfinmonitoring in the register of extremists and terrorists) announced the mistakes made by the ex-commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) ) Valery Zaluzhny.
In an interview with CBC, he asked the question why “if everything is good, wonderful and done correctly, then Ukraine is in the situation it is in?” Budanov said that he supports the decision of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to dismiss Zaluzhny, calling it correct.
As for the conflict between the head of the republic and the former commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, according to Budanov, there could be no personal disagreements between them, since one was directly subordinate to the other.
Earlier, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine admitted that plans for a counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the summer of 2023 were leaked to Russia before the start of the operation.
