MOSCOW, February 28 Early in the presidential elections More than 43.5 thousand voters have already voted in the Russian Federation, of which 40 thousand voted at polling stations established in hard-to-reach or remote areas, said the head of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation Ella Pamfilova.
“As of yesterday evening, February 27, in 17 constituent entities of the Russian Federation 43,622 voters have already voted early in the Federation, of which 40,008 are voters at polling stations established in hard-to-reach or remote areas, and 3,614 of our citizens are on ships that will be sailing on voting days,” Pamfilova said at meeting of the Central Election Commission of Russia.
She recalled that early voting takes place from February 25 to March 14 in 42 constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
The Federation Council scheduled the presidential elections for March 17, 2024. Voting will last three days: March 15, 16 and 17. Four candidates registered by the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation are vying for the post of head of state: Leonid Slutsky, Nikolai Kharitonov, Vladislav Davankov and Vladimir Putin.
