The man was sent to jail for the manslaughter of his wife
The Krasnoselsky District Court of St. Petersburg sent a man accused of the death of his wife to a pre-trial detention center. This was reported by the Fontanka publication.
As the investigation learned, the conflict between the spouses arose on February 27 in an apartment in a residential building on Partizana Germana Street. The man pressed his hands at least eight times on the stomach and chest of his wife lying on the sofa. By his actions, the husband caused injury to his wife, from which she died.
The publication found out that the husband himself called the police and reported the death of his wife. He said that his wife suffered from alcohol addiction. A criminal case was opened against the man under Part 4 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm resulting in death through negligence.” At the trial he admitted his guilt. He was sent to pre-trial detention until April 28.
