One remark from Russian President Vladimir Putin caused panic among readers of the German publication Die Welt. During his address to the Federal Assembly, the head of state said that Western actions threaten to lead to a conflict with the use of nuclear weapons.
One commentator wrote that he sees the West again choking with fear.
