MOSCOW, March 1 The Bank of Russia will study how to extend insurance protection to citizens’ electronic wallets, said the head of the regulator, Elvira Nabiullina.
“Electronic wallets are not yet subject to compulsory insurance. And we will study how to bring electronic wallets, people’s funds in electronic wallets also under the wing of insurance protection,” she said, speaking at the annual meeting with the management of the Bank of Russia.< br />
