MOSCOW, March 1 Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin ordered to open a criminal case after a participant in a special military operation was removed from a flight allegedly because of smoking , reported in the Telegram channel of the RF IC.
It is noted that a participant in a special military operation, returning home after treatment for an injury, was removed from the flight because airline employees suspected him of smoking on board the plane. However, the smoke detectors did not work, and no other facts were established.
«The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia has instructed the acting head of the Western MSUT of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Artem Chernenko, to initiate a criminal case on this fact and submit a report. The progress of the investigation will be monitored by the central office of the department,» the message says.
