
MOSCOW, February 29 Communist Party leader Gennady Zyuganov said that his personal expectations from the message of Russian President Vladimir Putin to the Federal Assembly were justified.
«I was sure that it would be pre-election in nature and there would be a whole series of proposals that we had been waiting for and offering for a long time <…> in this regard, my personal expectations were largely justified,» he told reporters.
At the same time, Zyuganov noted that, according to his calculations, more than three trillion rubles need to be allocated additionally to support the social sphere, including for doctors and teachers.
First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Ivan Melnikov, in turn, noted that the message, as promised, contained strategic accents.
«Serious emphasis was placed on the problem of personnel shortage. This is something that parliament recently began to work on substantively, on the instructions of the Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin. It is important that the range of these tasks will now be developed through the instructions of the President of Russia,» Melnikov noted.
