A criminal case was opened against the blogger Wild Marine for violence against a police officer; he insists that the security forces beat him themselves

A criminal case was opened against the former military man and author of the YouTube channel “Wild Paratrooper” Askhabali Alibekov for the use of harmless violence against a police officer (Part 1 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code). His lawyer told the OVD-Info project about this.

On February 20, Alibekov was detained in Kazan, where he had come to submit an application to the regional Central Election Commission to become an election observer. A protocol was drawn up against the blogger regarding disobedience to the security forces (Article 19.3 of the Administrative Code). According to the ex-military, he was beaten by transport police and injected in the back with something that looked like a syringe, after which the man felt ill. According to the security forces, Alibekov himself hit them in the legs at least twice.

Later, the Vakhitovsky District Court of Kazan sentenced the blogger to 15 days of arrest. An ambulance arrived at the man's court. According to OVD-Info, doctors diagnosed him with a bruise, hematoma and abrasion.

Alibekov participated in the Second Chechen War, served in the airborne landing unit in Stavropol and in naval reconnaissance in Novorossiysk. In 2017, the veteran was transferred to Crimea for several months, after which a criminal case was opened against him for abuse of power with the use of violence (clause “a” of part 3 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code), according to which the paratrooper’s real sentence was replaced with a suspended sentence.

The man became famous in February 2018, when, having again settled down to serve under a contract in Novorossiysk, he recorded an appeal to Putin, in which he accused him of hiding data on the number of Russians killed during the conflict in Ukraine and asked the president to “leave Russia alone.” «.

In March last year, a court in Novorossiysk sentenced Alibekov to a year and two months in a maximum security colony in the case of repeated “discrediting” of the army (Part 1 of Article 280.3 of the Criminal Code). He was released in November.
