The residential building on Piskarevsky Avenue in St. Petersburg, where the emergency occurred on Saturday morning, could have been damaged, presumably due to the fall of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), the main department of the Russian Guard for the Northwestern Federal District reported.< br />«Today… at about 07.15 the duty detachments of the private security of the Russian Guard, who were on patrol routes, received a message about an incident on Piskarevsky Prospekt… promptly arrived on the scene and, together with emergency services, organized the evacuation of residents of an apartment building that was damaged, presumably as a result of the fall of a UAV. In total, about 100 people were evacuated,» the department informs.
Earlier, the Governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov, said that the emergency occurred in two houses in the Krasnogvardeisky district of St. Petersburg, the glazing of the balconies was partially damaged. The Ministry of Emergency Situations and law enforcement officers are working at the scene of the incident. There are no casualties. Residents of the affected apartments were evacuated. They were temporarily placed in a kindergarten. Beglov headed the operational headquarters. He did not explain the reasons for what happened.
