The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case against a resident of the Kemerovo region for failure to fulfill the duties of a “foreign agent” (Part 2 of Article 330.1 of the Criminal Code) due to a post without a sign indicating his status. This was reported by the press service of the regional department of the agency.
The publication does not name the person involved in the case, but it is noted that he was previously sent to a pre-trial detention center on suspicion of “depraved acts” (Part 2 of Article 135 of the Criminal Code). It is also said that the arrested person is a resident of the village of Gramoteino.
The Telegram channel “Kuzbass without extremism” claims that we are talking about the ex-head of the local branch of “Voice” Sergei Piskunov from Gramoteino, who was arrested under a similar article. The Ministry of Justice added him to the register of “foreign agents” in September 2021.
The investigation claims that the reason for the new case was a publication on VKontakte made in September 2023 on the page of another user without the “foreign agent” label. In addition, administrative cases were previously opened against Piskunov due to failure to provide reports on the activities of an individual included in the register of the Ministry of Justice.
This year, the security forces detained Piskunov for the first time on February 10 — at a rally with the laying of flowers demanding the return mobilized. They took him home for a search in connection with the case of an “extremist organization” (Article 282.1 of the Criminal Code). After this, the ex-head of the local Golos branch was released. A few days later, he was detained on the border with Kazakhstan on a case of “depraved acts.”
Investigators accuse Piskunov of “committing indecent acts of a sexual nature” in telegram correspondence in relation to a girl who was under 14 years old. According to investigators, this happened “from December 18, 2023 to January 9, 2024.”
