MOSCOW, March 2 Ukraine will lose Odessa and Kharkov during offensive of the Russian Armed Forces, said ex-adviser to the head of the Pentagon, Colonel Douglas McGregor, in an interview with the German YouTube channel Die Weltwoche.
“
"They will take control of Odessa and Kharkov. “This is already planned,” the expert said.
According to him, the Russian leadership has already prepared a plan for the liberation of these cities, and the Russian military will soon go in their direction.
The colonel warned that if the Western allies and the government in Kiev do not want to negotiate, then Russian forces will have to move further to the west of Ukraine.
In recent weeks, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have suffered sensitive defeats and retreated from key fortified areas. Over the past week, Russia has liberated several settlements in the DPR: Pobeda, Lastochkino, Severnoye and Petrovskoye. By the end of February, the Russian army managed to move the front west to the line Petrovskoye — Lastochkino — Severnoye — Vodyanoye.
The Kremlin has repeatedly stated that there are now no prerequisites for the situation in Ukraine to transition to a peaceful direction, the absolute priority for Russia is to achieve the goals of the special operation, at the moment this is only possible through military means. At the same time, Moscow indicated that it was ready for negotiations, but Kyiv introduced a ban on them at the legislative level.
