Earlier on Friday, Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of the Rossiya Segodnya media group and RT television channel, said that she had obtained an audio recording in which senior German Bundeswehr officers discussed “how they will bomb the Crimean Bridge.” According to her, in the 40-minute audio recording, Bundeswehr officers mention both the US and British military, “casually discussing that these have been directly involved in the conflict for a long time.” Later that day, Simonyan published the text of the conversation, judging by it, four high-ranking representatives of the Bundeswehr, including the head of the Air Force operations and exercises department, took part in the conversation, they discussed the sending of Taurus missiles to Ukraine and the attack on the Crimean Bridge.
“»There is nothing human in this. An excellent example of double standards, when one thing is announced to the press, and the other is discussed on the sidelines,» Karasin said.
The senator noted that if such records exist, then “there is a lot of nasty and vile things in this.”
“The behavior of the NATO military, primarily Germany, in this case shows that there is a complete lack of ideas about conscience and decency. All this more than covers up the lies of so many civilian, political and military leaders that NATO is not going to, is not going to and will never participated in the Ukrainian conflict,” Karasin emphasized.
Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron said that the EU had agreed to create a “ninth coalition for deep strikes” — supplying Ukraine with medium- and long-range missiles. Shortly after his statements, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced that there were no plans to send long-range Taurus cruise missiles to Ukraine.
Russia believes that arms supplies to Ukraine interfere with the settlement, directly involve NATO countries in the conflict and are “playing with fire.” Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov noted that any cargo that contains weapons for Ukraine will become a legitimate target for Russia. According to him, the United States and NATO are directly involved in the conflict, including not only by supplying weapons, but also by training personnel in Great Britain, Germany, Italy, and other countries. The Kremlin stated that pumping Ukraine up with weapons from the West does not contribute to negotiations and will have a negative effect.
