MOSCOW, March 2 The West needs to restore relations with Russia, and not escalate them to the limit, in order to avoid a global catastrophe, said retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Davis on his YouTube channel Daniel Davis/Deep Dive.
“He (Russian President Vladimir Putin. — Ed. ) has long been saying that the threat on the borders of his state is a red line. <…> But we continue to do everything to prevent peace. How can this be?» — he was indignant.
Davis recalled that during his address to the Federal Assembly, the Russian leader warned about the consequences of dangerous actions of the West, which could lead to a conflict with the use of nuclear weapons.
«In any case, the only rational solution would be to strive for peace (with Russia. – Ed.),” he concluded.
President Vladimir Putin, in his message to the Federal Assembly, stated that it is necessary to form a new “world security contour”, Russia is ready to dialogue with all countries. The President emphasized that everything that the West comes up with really threatens a conflict with the use of nuclear weapons, and therefore the destruction of civilization as a whole. He also commented on the conversations of European leaders about the possibility of sending NATO troops to Ukraine; this, according to the president, could lead to “tragic” consequences.
