MOSCOW, March 2 The first Russian brand of bags made from vegan bio-leather SEVEN PIECES plans to enter foreign markets, said the founder of the brand Irina Leonova during the master -class «Made in Russia: creative approaches in international business», organized by the Russian Export Center (VEB.RF) and Rosmolodezh.Business at the World Youth Festival.
“The brand was founded in 2021, and its main goals are to popularize environmentally friendly thinking in Russia and “promote” leather production on the market. SEVEN PIECES produces designer bags, wallets, laptop cases made of cactus, raffia and apple “skin,” said Leonova.
“The company is now preparing its first export product,” she added. According to Leonova, foreign investors have already become interested in the idea of bags made from apple “skin”.
«We strive for maximum awareness and compliance with the concept of sustainable development. For us, environmental friendliness is caring not only for nature and the environment, but also for ourselves, our environment and consumer choice. Environmental friendliness as the value basis of the brand is an extremely popular guideline for business development in the world and today continues to develop in Russia,” emphasized the founder of the company.
According to her, eco-brands are now experiencing difficulties — not only because customers in the markets of Russia and the CIS countries are not yet ready to rethink their values, but also because of the high cost of the product, and as a result, its high final price. Leonova noted that the main thing is to make quality products accessible.
The SEVEN PIECES brand, with the support of the REC, participated in the first women's business mission to Uzbekistan in 2023. Then, over two days, the entrepreneurs held more than 100 business meetings and exchanged experiences in the field of fashion and retail. The mission under the Made in Russia brand was organized by the Russian Export Center with the support of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Eurasian Women's Forum.
