DONETSK, March 3 A civilian was injured as a result of shelling of the Petrovsky district of Donetsk by Ukrainian troops, the mayor of the administrative center of the DPR, Alexey Kulemzin, said in his Telegram channel.
“During the barbaric shelling of the Petrovsky district on Shestakova Street, a man born in 1975 was wounded,” wrote Kulemzin.
The DPR representative office at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to War Crimes of Ukraine (JCCC) reported earlier on Sunday that at 12.20 Two 155 mm caliber shells were fired from the Ukrainian Armed Forces into the Petrovsky district of the city.
Petrovsky district is located on the western outskirts of Donetsk, it is the most distant part of the city from the center. Since 2014, when the DPR declared independence from Kiev, this area has regularly come under fire from Ukrainian security forces.
