In Primorye, where natural fires continue, a fire tornado was spotted — a vortex consisting of flame and combustion products. This rare phenomenon was reported by Primhydromet press secretary Varvara Koridze.
The video that appeared on social networks shows a fiery tornado, which, according to eyewitnesses, they see for the first time. The recordings show how the whirlwind, at first light and then becoming dark, rises to a height of tens of meters and approaches people. The filming was taken in the seaside village of Provalovo, Khasansky district.
According to information from the seaside Ministry of Emergency Situations, from March 1 to 2, 23 fires were discovered in the Khasansky district. In this regard, the regional operational headquarters increased the number of forces and means to extinguish fires three times. In addition to local firefighters, the forces of the State Institution “Forest Protection” are also involved in the work. and “Land of the Leopard.”
