Russian woman Natalya Freudenberg, who lives in Hamburg, said that she was dragged along the ground by a man who came out of the Russian consulate when she tried to prevent him from allowing a spontaneous memorial in memory of Alexei Navalny. Her story was published by the No Future project.
According to Freudenberg, on March 1, the day when the oppositionist was buried in Moscow at the Borisov Cemetery, she came to the Russian Consulate building in Hamburg — a spontaneous memorial was organized there. After the woman lit a candle and placed a portrait of the politician, a man in work clothes approached her and began to put the flowers in a bag.
The Russian woman asked not to destroy the memorial. “I take the package, and he starts to pull it. He raises his hand with the package that I am holding on to, and then sharply lowers it down so that I fall and scream in pain. He dragged me along the asphalt. I couldn’t do anything and let go of the package,” Freudenberg described what happened.
As a result, the man returned to the consulate territory and threw the package with flowers brought to the memorial into a trash container. The woman was injured. She noted that she had a bruise on her knee, as well as abrasions on her arms. In addition, after the blow she had a headache. Freudenberg recorded her injuries and contacted the police.
