MOSCOW, March 3 The average cost of home-cooked pancakes for Maslenitsa in Russia in 2024 is 183 rubles, the cheapest they will cost residents of the Stavropol Territory, and the most expensive will be in eastern regions, for example in Yamal, and in the two capitals of the country, follows from data from the Evotor company provided by.

The cost of preparing a portion was calculated according to the recipe: one liter of milk, 300 grams of wheat flour, four eggs, 40 milliliters of sunflower oil, 50 grams of sugar, five grams of salt and yeast.

«The cost of preparing pancakes at home is 183 rubles. The cheapest place on average to prepare pancakes will be in the Stavropol Territory — only 119 rubles,” the materials say.

Baking pancakes will cost the most for residents of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug — 253 rubles per serving, and Khabarovsk Territory — 233 rubles. The capital cities are not far behind — Muscovites will have to spend 227 rubles on food for one serving of pancakes, St. Petersburg residents — 201 rubles. For residents of the Krasnodar Territory, a stack of pancakes will cost 186 rubles, in the Krasnoyarsk Territory — almost the same, 185 rubles. The cost of pancakes is even lower in the Samara and Voronezh regions — 178 rubles, in the Kaliningrad region (168 rubles) and the Sverdlovsk region (154 rubles).

The company estimated the annual increase in Russians’ spending on preparing Maslenitsa treats at 17%: the main contribution was made by eggs (they rose in price by 1.5 times), the rest the ingredients in the recipe added less value (milk — 7%, sugar — 4%, yeast — 3%, flour and sunflower oil — 2%, salt — no changes).
The company also reminded about the usual additives — honey and sour cream: the increase in costs for their purchase in February was 8% year-on-year. At the same time, red caviar — another traditional filling — has noticeably fallen in price: according to the fiscal data operator OFD Platform, red caviar in Russia on the eve of Maslenitsa is sold 6% cheaper.
Maslenitsa week will last this year from March 11 to 17.
