NOVOSIBIRSK, March 4 Investigators of the Investigative Committee in Novosibirsk opened a criminal case against a 29-year-old woman who left her 8-year-old child in a locked apartment for two days without food, reports the SUSK for the Novosibirsk region on Monday.
As reported, an eight-year-old child in Novosibirsk spent two days in a locked apartment alone without food. Rescuers had to enter the apartment through the balcony.
«»A criminal case has been opened against a 29-year-old resident of a neighboring region. She is suspected of committing a crime under Article 156 Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (failure to fulfill or improper fulfillment of duties for raising a minor by a parent),” the message says.
According to the investigation, on February 29 in the city of Novosibirsk, the mother left the boy for two days in a locked apartment located in the Sovetsky district, without supervision or food. The child is currently placed in a temporary detention center for minors.
«Investigators are ascertaining the living conditions and upbringing of the child in this family, the necessary measures are being taken to establish all the circumstances of the incident,» the SUSC reported.
