The Ministry of Internal Affairs is conducting an investigation against the police who did not have time to save the murdered resident of Chelyabinsk. The publication 74.RU writes about this with reference to the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
“As part of the ongoing internal audit, the picture of what happened will be established in detail, the actions of all officials from the moment the message is received on phone 102 until the arrival of the squad to Degtyareva Street,” 74.RU quotes the words of security forces.
As the publication previously reported, at the end of February, Nikita Sidorov, a participant in the war in Ukraine, killed his ex-wife Natalya. Since February 23, the man celebrated Defender of the Fatherland Day, met with friends and drank alcohol. On the night of February 24-25, he went outside, and when he returned, the woman who was visiting him at the time refused to let him into the apartment.
The woman locked herself inside and called the police, saying that the man was going to kill her. Later, Sidorov climbed into the apartment through the balcony and strangled his ex-wife. The neighbors heard Natalya shouting “Help.”
One of the neighbors, in a conversation with 74.RU, said that she wanted to call the police, but then she saw the security forces on the landing. According to her, when they were at the door, Sidorov’s ex-wife was still alive. The police knocked on the door, but no one answered. As a result, the security forces decided to open it, but when they got to the apartment, the woman was already dead.
According to 74.RU, Sidorov was detained — later the Metallurgical District Court of Chelyabinsk sent him to a pre-trial detention center on murder charges. According to neighbors, he often drank and got into fights, including previously using violence against his wife.
