NALCHIK, March 4 Police officers in Ingushetia are conducting an investigation after a domestic dispute in the city of Malgobek, as a result of which three people received gunshot wounds, the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
According to the ministry, on the evening of March 2 in the city of Malgobek, a domestic quarrel occurred between an 18-year-old and a 51-year-old local resident, which escalated into a fight. The eldest of its participants fired two shots from a Makarov pistol at the car in which his opponent was leaving. On the night of March 3, the man came to his opponent’s home and shot him and his 55-year-old father several times with a pistol. The owner of the house responded by firing several shots at the attacker from a shotgun, for which he had permission.
«As a result of the shootout, a 55-year-old man with gunshot wounds to his left arm and right leg, his son with a wound to his left leg, and their 51-year-old opponent with gunshot wounds to his right foot were taken to the Malgobek hospital,» the report says.
It is clarified that after first aid was provided, a 51-year-old man was hospitalized in a hospital in Nazran. He confessed and voluntarily handed over the Makarov pistol.
“The police are conducting an investigation into this fact,” notes the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
