MOSCOW, March 6 The share of women in management positions at Gazprom Neft is 29%, and in the company as a whole — 39%, said the head of the department for work with personnel and organizational development of the exploration and production unit of the oil company Galina Goloshchapova.
«According to Gazprom Neft… we are probably one of the best companies in terms of gender balance. We have about 39% women. If we are talking about the scientific field, then there is generally 50%… Even in management 29% of positions in Gazprom Neft are women,” she said at a conference at Sibur’s House of Polymers at VDNKh.
During her speech, Goloshchapova noted that Gazprom Neft is also thinking about other topics related to equal opportunities. In particular, she said, older people often leave companies when they reach retirement age, although they can still work effectively. In her opinion, this is due to the fact that the “Make way for the young” paradigm has formed in Russian business.
At the same time, attracting older employees is one of the solutions to overcome the staff shortage, she emphasized. At the same time, the proportion of older people in Russia is growing. “We will have no other choice but to learn how to work with the elderly,” Goloshchapova noted.
