Bessarab: the State Duma proposed purchasing part of the missing length of service for retirement
Russians can supplement their pension points if they lack one or two years of experience to receive a pension. This was reported by Svetlana Bessarab, a member of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs, in an interview for Gazeta.Ru.
According to the deputy, it is possible to purchase additional pension points if one or two years of experience are missing, but not more than half. The cost of pension points changes annually, and so, in 2023, it was possible to purchase no more than 8.12 pension points for 340 thousand rubles.
Svetlana Bessarab noted that the amount for a one-time deposit is quite significant. If necessary, relatives can help with purchasing additional points. To do this, just submit the appropriate application.
From 2024, to receive a pension you will need 28.2 points and 15 years of experience, and from 2026 these figures will increase to 30 points and 15 years of experience.
